Fernanda Sousa Tavares is a teacher and therapist with a profound dedication to Oriental therapies. She began her Shiatsu journey in 2002 at the Toyo Igaku Association in Lisbon, where she completed her first training. Inspired by the transformative effects of this ancient practice, she chose to deepen her knowledge and embarked on a continuous path of learning.

She went on to study Zen Shiatsu at the International Shiatsu School, strengthening her practice and expanding her understanding of Eastern approaches to energetic balance. Along the way, she trained with internationally renowned teachers, including Wilfried Rappenecker, Paul Lundberg, Suzanne Yates, Alex Fisher, Saul Goodman, Kindy Kaur, Mihael Mamychshvili, and Chris McAlister.

In 2010, she began her training as a Shin Tai Shiatsu teacher, further refining her therapeutic approach with an emphasis on releasing the body’s nervous, structural, fascial, and energetic systems.

Over the years, Fernanda has complemented her training with studies in Fascia, Sotai, Moxibustion, Cupping, Reflexology, Reiki, Zen Meditation, and other integrative therapeutic approaches. She has participated in numerous national and international workshops and seminars, enriching her practice with a holistic vision of physical, emotional, and spiritual well‑being.

As a teacher, Fernanda is dedicated to sharing knowledge with her students, fostering conscious learning rooted in active listening to the body and the value of therapeutic touch.

As a therapist, she is known for her sensitivity, professionalism, and personalized approach, accompanying each person on their journey of healing and self‑discovery.
